Self-Care Tips To Do Today
You don’t need to start on all seven of these at once; choose maybe one or two. If you think you can handle more after that, then go ahead. But do pay attention to how your emotions and moods may change through the process.
It’ll probably be best to keep a journal to note how you feel and anything you notice differently about yourself.
1. Affirmations
Create a list of affirmations that you’d like to see within yourself, such as “I have more than enough skills and knowledge to take my career to the next level.”
Doing affirmations can gradually help shift your brain to a different way of thinking to match what you say is accurate and works best when done consistently.
Say them aloud or inside your head every morning upon rising and again before you go to bed.

Mirror work
Doing mirror work may feel strange, uncomfortable or just weird at first, but the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
While getting ready, talk to yourself in the mirror as you prepare yourself every morning.
Tell yourself, “I am successful in my career,” My body is looking more toned,” Who’s that beautiful being looking back at me, and why is it me?” LOL, you get the point.
The more consistent you are, the more confident you feel about yourself.
Doing mirror work myself was the most significant shift for me and self-love; I started to notice how I’d show up for myself each morning, and you shall in time, too.
3. Playtime
Remember to make room in your life for playtime. Life should be more than work, eat and sleep. That’s not living; that’s surviving, but I’m sure you know that, or you wouldn’t be reading this article.
There must always be a balance in life, so my workaholics schedule it in. Even if it is by yourself, sometimes that’s best because you can do everything at your own pace. Go to the theatre, see a show, watch your favourite movie that just came out, visit an art gallery and get creative with your ideas.
My favourite one was going to an adult-sized discovery zone for one of my birthdays. Anyone who knows me would tell you I like to keep it fun, playful, and active if possible.
4. Inner work/healing
Do some inner work and energy healing. You could try out my free energy healing meditation, which I shared on the EVOS Instagram page here.
The meditation is a brief introduction to see if you can feel the energy shift in you. What you feel will be different for each individual.
I will also list a few good subliminal affirmations I found on YouTube at the end of this article.
5. Declutter your life
You can do this at a pace that’s comfortable for you.
The first place I’d start is the home. It should be your sanctuary, and the last thing you want is to feel tense at home. So, declutter each part of your house, remove what you no longer use or need, and give it away to charity, sell it, or dispose of it correctly.
Go through the social media accounts you use the most and start unfollowing people who no longer resonate with you or make you feel bad about yourself. Only follow those who motivate you, educate you, and uplift you.
Let go of connections that no longer serve you. If they’re not raising your vibration but instead bringing you down or creating drama, then it’s time for you guys to go your separate ways or love them from afar.
Do a detox and cleanse the body. It sounds cliché, but health is wealth, and you can’t enjoy the fruits of your labour if you’re always sick. So be sure you’re eating healthier. You could do a juice or smoothie diet, or try living on a Vegan diet for a week or two and see how you feel afterwards.
6. Stay on top of your health – Mentally, Physically & Emotionally
Be sure to get some exercise at least three times a week, even if it’s just walking.
Voice what’s on your mind to avoid suppressing it. If you do, it will turn into stress in the body, which shows up as symptoms of headache, digestive issues, sore throat, and more.
Watch things that will help you grow or learn something new that will stimulate your mind and is highly vibrational.
7. Let go of old limiting beliefs
Listen to affirmations or a subliminal message when you go to bed to replace old limiting beliefs with new ones. Our minds are more receptive when asleep.
The key is to be consistent with these to see changes, for they won’t happen overnight, maybe not even in a week. But gradually, you will see changes; it just depends on how much deprogramming you need to do.
Keep this in mind when working on yourself: It can take roughly 18 to 254 days to form a new habit and approximately 66 days for new behaviour patterns to become automatic.
